Test TotalCross using Java Compatibility Kit
Java Compatibility Kit is a set of tools which help test & measure the compatibility level of a JDK. For example, the percentage of the supported libraries, or if some implementations have errors.
It would be beneficial to check what is the status of TotalCross compared with stock JDK implementations.
Right now, to have access to this library one should apply to Oracle. I suggest that TC should follow this path.
Some more info about the request:
-
What is your reason to request access to the JCK? : We are TotalCross (... some description here about who we are and what we do). We want to be compatible with JDK as much as we can and we need these tests to verify our compatibility.
-
Are you doing a distribution? : no we are not planning to do a JDK distribution. We do distribute software, but not JDK per se
-
Do you intend to putback code to OpenJDK? : yes if we find any issues we'll be happy to do this
-
What are your interests in OpenJDK and the JCK? : We are already using OpenJDK in our build process and it is a vital part of our toolchain and everyday work..
-
What OpenJDK projects would you like to be associated with? : Base JDK project. Also anything that has to do with embedded/mobile.
If you have any more comments or corrections, please do so.
