adding covers from google or gallery
It would be nice if i could search and add covers from google or gallery. Do you plan to introduce this feature? This is the only thing missing from this app. in any other audiobook players there is no problem with that
Adding Google / a general purpose browser to the app would have implications for the age restrictions Apple imposes on apps, which is something I'd rather not do.
Editing books is on our agenda, but there is no estimated time frame where this will see the light of day.

Your current age rating is 4+ years. All other audiobook players appear to have the same 4+ rating, including those that allow a Google Image search for book covers (for example, Bound - Audiobook Player). Whatever the guidelines may say, Apple are clearly not enforcing this in the way you presume.
HOWEVER, it would be almost as easy for users to find the image with their regular browser, save it to their device, and then add it from within BookPlayer. No need to add a browser.

Surely enabling your users to manually correct errors and omissions by your parser should be one of the highest priorities for any audiobook player?
I appreciate that you allow me to rename my audiobooks from the filename to the correct title, but the author attribution is also vital for browsing our libraries, even more important than cover images. Other audiobook players tend to allow the user to edit the Title and Author at the same time.
This will become even more important if you ever implement library search because people sometimes search by author and want all of that author's books to appear in the results.
This is already (mostly) addressed in this PR (see screen recording attached), and will be included in the next major release v5.0.0
I say mostly, because while we don't implement an in-app browser to search for images, we do allow copy/pasting the image, so *the user can easily go to the browser, copy the image, and pasting it inside the app 👍
Oh, that's terrific!
Sorry I didn't see that PR.
Being able to paste is fine, an in-app browser would be overkill.
Thanks to everyone for your continuing work on this promising project.

Any idea when v5.0.0 is coming out? would love to be able to change the cover inside of the app.
@BartemX early June is our target release window, we'll probably start with a slow rollout to catch any errors and migrations issues that may surface
