Import from phone?

How about being able to import from the iPhone? Other apps like BookMobile will do this. It’s nice because then I can just sync via iTunes like always but then import them from the app.

Hi @molonlabe88 , the reason this hasn't been implemented yet, is that Apple doesn't really give you complete access to the file, so you're not actually importing the books, they just give you a hashed reference to the file so you can get the metadata and tell it to play.

Just to make sure I was remembering this correctly, I redownloaded BookMobile, imported some books from my iTunes Library, then I went to BookMobile's settings in the phone and turned off access for 'Media & Apple Music', after relaunching the app, I get the list of chapters with a message 'Removed from iTunes Library'

This feature will fit in nicely when we reach the phase in the app where we can stream remote files, we'll have some nice abstraction that will deal with a type of 'remote' file that would be iTunes files too.

To be honest, this is far down the road yet, but thanks for bringing it up 👌. Please feel free to open more issues with what you would like to see in upcoming versions
