can't load oric basic rom

Hi, I'm tring this great software for the first time. While it seems to be loading ok tape files with some games I tested, the basic rom files (I tried a few different ones) do not load, I'm getting a "The document “xxxxx” could not be opened."

Is there something Im doing wrong or is that an issue ?

Do you mean literally BASIC ROMs, i.e. to get into the programming language BASIC? If so then the easiest way on the Mac is File -> New..., select the Oric and then either an Oric-1 (for BASIC 1.0) or an Oric Atmos (for BASIC 1.1).

It doesn't currently have a process for loading potential BASIC replacements — for the Oric only tape and disk files are recognised.

ok now I get it, I thought the basic rom was loaded using the same process as tape files. As there are debugged roms on the intervet, would be nice to be able to load a different one indeed. But I guess we all can survive if it's not coming soon :-)
