Feature request: Multiple Stores per Item

Open Radoom opened this issue 2 years ago • 1 comments

What's the feature 🧐

As the title suggests; similar to tags or categories, but as a multi-selection feature, for stores we can (pre)define.

Usecase: We're shopping e.g. food from different supermarkets, and some products are only available (or only "good (value/taste for money") in some of them. We're using "OI shopping list" (offline app) for years now, and use the store feature there extensively: store, price, unit per store also allows also for simple price comparison; but mainly to filter for only those items I want to buy from the store I'm at. Going through a dedicated shopping list per store wouldn't work though, as e.g. milk is fine from more or less any, whereas the cheese is crap in the one store, but okay two others. You get the idea.

If implemented, an easily accessible filter dropdown in shopping list view would be needed => show me

  • only what I want to buy here
  • AND everything that has no store set Logic: If I don't set particular stores for an Item, it's (likely) fine to get this item from anywhere; only after I find out that it's better in some places (or rather: bad in the others), I'll set those "preferred sources". This "AND not set"-Logic could eventually be an option to toggle maybe, as users may have a different logic to it. Some are setting every good store on every item always, others do it like I above.

Just wishes ;) ... for starters, we'll get along with descriptions, like putting our abbreviations for the store names in there as a first letter or so.
