Plans for development are stability, performance, cleanup (this is still very early). Extra nodes can be easily created, and we have a few ideas for some nice things, like plugins...
That is the idea, it can be standalone, we just use libgdx for our projects so thats why that is the current only runtime, but anyone can make a runtime...
There are no immediate plans for us to make any other runtimes right now, apart from the LibGDX runtime, as we are using this in house. Anyone is very welcome...

Please post the full error log, and at least provide the full steps to reproduce the issue. Its likely that your robovm.xml may be invalid as the message you get...

Thanks, I've given the latest version a go on a 9.3 iPhone 4s and its fine for me. The snapshot artifact may be dodgey, I'll give it a go in...
