Not searching in custom parts directory for stud.io

I'm working on custom part libraries and had people ask me about this plugin not supporting custom parts. Seeing as this is still actively being updated, it would be perfect with an official update of this change.

AppData > Local > Stud.io > CustomParts is the path location

This comment on a older post referencing a commit change for adding the studio 2.0 folder mentions this change would also support custom parts, but this seems to not be the case? After all it's completely separate file directory.
