Auto update always fails without any explanation

Describe the bug The app mentions it tries to automatically install updates "if it can". I don't know what that means. Then I keep seeing the notification of an update being available and it couldn't be auto installed and please tap the notification to install. If I tap I get to the FFUpdater window and it installs.

The apps should update automatically. Fdroid can update automatically.

The main issue is: I don't know what is it it requires that isn't being satisfied? Are there known circumstances and reasons why it would not be able to work?

Android 15. Pixel phone. I'm using Session Installer. No root. I don't get the error mentioned in this report.
