Mayflash Adapter Not Getting Picked Up

Running this on Vanilla OS (based on Ubuntu). I have the driver installed successfully. Seems to be running just fine, but Slippi (AppImage) is refusing to pick it up. I initially asked for help in the Vanilla OS Discord, but they didn't know what the problem was. Not really sure what else I can describe other than the screenshot. Any help would be appreciated. (Vanilla OS is mostly containerized, so I imagine it's probably an issue related to that, but I'm not sure.)

You don't need this program for dolphin, it's actually preventing dolphin from using the GC adapter directly
