Is this project alive?
Since last commit was done 2 years before, this make's me wonder if this project is alive or not?
It is not. If I can get the permissions, I will maintain it, but for the time being no one is actively working on it.
Is there anything we can do to help you get those permissions?
I've written an email to @RedFantom, who is the project owner. I'm waiting for his reply.
@rdbende , got any update from @RedFantom ?
My apologies for not replying sooner, I don't login as often as I used to and check the listed e-mail address even less... I have received @rdbende's e-mail and have already granted him some extra permissions and will be discussing further with him.
While I was hoping to return to TkinterEP years ago, this never materialized. My life looks very different now than when I worked on this project, and I still have neither time nor energy to work on these projects. Overall I am doing well, but there is no space for open source programming at the moment.
I did not expect anyone to still be interested in these projects. As there is still interest, I'll happily cooperate in giving the required levels of access. I do appreciate there is still interest, and I hope you may still find some usefulness in the project.
I am pinging people here since I didn't get a response on #111 or #110.
Please look me up online and consider adding me to the org.
- If so I will try harder to fix it and could help review PRs. Currently PRs require reviews but none of the reviewers seem to be available.
I haven't found anything similar to features here, and plan to use some of the classes. Tkinter is fast...and I'm working in Python professionally so I have funded time to fix things clients or I need and contribute improvements back.
~~I see there is no org--Consider adding a GitHub organization. It is free now (free tier is fine for most uses). If projects are moved to it, then you can add and remove people from the organization easily.~~ :edit: I see that TkinterEP is actually a GitHub organization already.
Hi @Poikilos,
Just wanted to let you know that this is in my radar, but I currently don't have time to review your issues and contributions.
I am pinging people here since I didn't get a response on #111 or #110.
Also please note, that not getting a response after one day is totally normal in a FOSS project, I wouldn't worry about it. Personally I had/have finals before and after the holidays, but when they are over, hopefully a I'll be able to be a bit more active here on GH.
Just want to ask if the project is still planned to be maintained as I recently made a pull request.
