question about custom fine-tuning

a question about custom fine-tuning in this guide.

does this script fine-tune the model AFTER its pre-training + supervised fine-tuning phase? or, does this script replace the SFT phase itself?

if the former is true, will you be releasing checkpoints soon that allow us to replace SFT without having to pre-train the model ourselves?
