"Fifo shutting down while active" error OR "... null resource being inserted" issues
Recently started using the (1100) I believe the latest, Ishiiruka dolphin build and the GameCube functionality works perfectly for me. However, when I try to play a Wii game, depending on what Backend option I'm using, I run into some errors. To elaborate, using Direct3D 12 for Wii games it goes straight to black screen on launch and I receive a:
DX12::D3DCommandListManager::DestroyResourceAfterCurrentCommandListExecuted failed in J:\DolphinSVN\Dolphin-dx9\Master\Ishiiruka\Source\Core...\D3DCommandListManagerr.cpp at line 330: Null resource being inserted! >
However, if I use any other backend, I receive a black screen with an error of:
Fifo shutting down while active >

I have a i56600k and a GTX 1070. for config, I have dual-core enabled, JIT recompiler, default Audio setup, and the rest default. Vsync is off, multithread is enabled, I have 3x Native internal res with 8SSA and 16x, widescreen hack, no post proceessing, and skip EFP access and fast EFB access unchecked. I have used some custom load textures for gamecube games but disabled those options in the settings trying to fix these wii issues. Its odd that these wii games consistently dont work for me. Hope you can help, thanks!
can you check fast efb access, and disable MSAA , Anisotropic filter and Multithreading and try?

Same issues continue to occur.
can you send me your config files? in tha way i will discard a config issue, what version of ishiiruka are you using? have you already tryed other versions?
I've tried the most stable version and 1100. Which config files? Can I send the whole compressed zip or are there specific files I can send?
the ones in the folder \Documents\Dolphin Emulator\Config or if you are using portable mode the ones in User\Config
on my system it works perfectly with your configuraton files only changing the source folder. So is not your configuration it should be something in your enviroment. can you give me more detail on your system?

I am trying to run Super Mario Galaxy 2 and Mario Kart Wii, I am using a portable build and also have the normal dolphin 5.0 installed. I have a 144hz monitor and I can also try updating my drivers. Oh, and also these Wii games work when I use normal dolphin, just not Ishiiruka. What process is Fifo
I have 16GB of Ram, a dual monitor setup, using my 144hz one
can you use the msinfo method here https://www.howtogeek.com/80108/how-to-get-detailed-information-about-your-pc-2/ to send me your system details?
ok, installed the same vc version as yours, the only differences in out r systems are driver versions, windows version, and that you have a intel cpu and i have an amd cpu. the reality i dont have any idea on what is causing the black screens for you. Can you enable the the logs and the graphic validation layer and send me the log files to see if i can find something?
When I enable logs through View > Logs, Nothing is displayed in the black box, regardless of the platform of the game I am trying to show. Also, I'm not sure where to enable the graphic validation layer. EDIT: I think It's API Validation Layers, I will try again.
Okay, So when I use Direct3D 12 now, I get a different error with the settings you mentioned enabled. This time, it says my graphics card may not support Directx12, or my drivers are not up to date. This is odd because I just updated my drivers yesterday and I know cards past like the GTX 980 support directx12, and a google search will support this. However, this time it did not crash Ishiiruka all together after the blackscreen, and let me back into the emulator. However, I still receive a FIFO shutting down while active error with DirectX11 or other backends. Not too sure how to send you the log files, Nothing appears in User > Logs
EDIT: I figured it out, I will send the log files ASAP
dolphin.log This is one launch with D12 and one with D11. Verbosity is at "Info" and all log types are enabled. If you want I can Clear and send two separate log files.
from the log i can see that video initialization is failing so is like the driver is filing to initilize, do you have any overlay enabled?
I have GeForce experience overlay to install/update my drivers but the errors did occur before that, I can disable the overlay and send a new lag?
the idea is diable it and try if it works if it does not work the leg will be the same.
Wii games on Ishiiruka continue to give the same errors, unfortunately. What differentiates when handling video backend when comparing normal dolphin build and Ishiiruka?
Ishiiruka is based on dolphin 5 in the wx version. but i really dont know what can be causing this issue specifically for you as i dont have reports of similar things and myself have the same 1070 and it works perfectly.
I have the same issue after changing to version 1105 to play Super Mario Galaxy. Any fixes yet?

@Fordg123 @shransfanboi can you send me your system information , maybe i can find something common in your systems that help me understand why you have this issue.
