Thanks for the replies. I'll continue to look into everything. I need to rewatch all the youtube videos after using the i3ass system for a bit.

Ok after some reading I added '*/5 * * * * /usr/bin/mbsync -a -V > ~/.mbsync_log' to my crontab to check mail every 5 minutes and now it is working....

Ran into the same issue.
