Alternative File Extension for TiddlyWiki Files

Jeremy,

Please consider my suggestion here Alternative File Extension for TiddlyWiki Files #3719

Apart for the key points raised in that issue I believe it would be an advantage for users to be able to have wikis that open in TiddlyDesktop if they have the alternate file extension as an alternative to opening in the browser. In someways it makes TiddlyDesktop operate with browser independence on such files as they will not open in the Browser unless so set. It could allow a downloaded wiki to be renamed .tw if not already, and clicked to open and be added to the TiddlyDesktop wiki list.

As TiddlyDesktop is an installable application this would also be an opportunity to provide the ability to associate tw files with TiddlyDesktop and or the browser of choice, perhaps even a co-install of the desktop side Timimi and browser add on, as these further help enable TiddlyWiki "On the Desktop".

There is no hurry but just a desire to extend the definition of a valid tiddlywiki to .tw files to extend its usability, transfer-ability and ease of use.

Please note, We can already add .tw files to the TiddlyDesktop Wikis and they backup with a matching file extension.

Because I associated .tw files with fire fox and Timimi I also tried a .twd file

Now all I want to do is see if we can associate .tw or .twd files with TiddlyDesktop such that clicking them in the file manager will open them.
