What did the website change from file-converter.org to file-converter.io?

What did the website change from file-converter.org to file-converter.io? I noticed this today when trying to give a friend the software. The old software site is now asking for money to convert files, while the .io link is still free..?

I did the same and realized the .org is fake, please see #410. It's this company "Zamzar" impersonating the real website and bought out the domain after the original owner lost access. :( I nearly fell for the same thing you did and almost got my friend to download the fake version. I only noticed for real when I saw there was a Mac version available which seemed odd as I noticed the real app uses the Windows-only WPF UI.

Sorry for all that, I explained a bit the situation in issue #410. I'll close this one to not flood the issue. After some messaging with Zamzar they finally replaced the "clone" website (last month after 1 year), they now have a clear different visual identy.
