Mp3 VBR Presets not saving or not converting

All of a sudden File converter is behaving wierdly. I'm trying to convert some Mp3 files into lower bitrates at VBR setting. First of all, I'm not able to save presets. I change the preset "To MP3" bitrate from 225 to 190, press Save. The window closes, when I open the Configure preset window again, its back to 225. I'm able to work around it by saving first as CBR, then switching back to VBR.

Then I get into a different problem. It doesn't convert at all. The conversion window appears for a split second and dissappears. I've attached diagnostics for such an event.

I'm using Windows 11, admin account, File converter 1.2.3
