I had a quick look at the code. Do you have a lot of ssids visible when this happens?
Then the datastructure with the wifi scan results and the html content list built from that will be rather big, maybe that is the problem (on very low RAM devices).

JSON is not directly usable as it can not have arbitrary bytes in it, so we would need to encode all stuff that can be arbitrary bytes (password, ssid, ...)....

@troglobit you really need tunnelbroker (HE, hurricane electric), for multiple reasons. :) They seem cool, even have IPv6 quizzes and stuff. And it's free. BTW, nsupdate.info can trigger a tunnelbroker...

You still need to determine the permanent (non-privacy-enhanced) address as it does not make much sense to put the temporary ones into dns.
