Getting error : type 'FileSystemException' is not a subtype of type 'String'
Hey, my attempt to change the package name ends with the following line:
Getting error : type 'FileSystemException' is not a subtype of type 'String'
Is this a known error?
J'ai la même erreur... Sur un autre projet j'ai pu le faire fonctionner sans problèmes mais sur un projet actuel j'ai cette erreur. Est-ce lié à une configuration de projet (Flutter, Graddle, ...?) ou une version de Flutter ?
this issue is cause by "android_package_name" param.
Instead of renaming the Android architecture (com.example.project_name), it creating new folders and not copy paste MainActivity file into new package architecture and not delete old package (com.example.project_name)
Then, not rename Manifest files. So I think that create conflict to parsing file and sending this error.
To conclude, skip this param and if u want rename android package architecture, u must do manually...
This error only occurs on Windows, on macOS it works well with the same project!

1) ADD THE PACKAGE TO DEPENDENCIES IN pubspec.yaml
flutter pub add rename_app
OR
dependencies: rename_app: ^latest_version
2) PROVIDE THE APP NAME
You can provide app name in the following ways
- Same name for all apps
flutter pub run rename_app:main all="My App Name"
- Seperate name for specified platform(s) and same for all others
flutter pub run rename_app:main android="Anroid Name" ios="IOS Name" others="Others Name"
- Seperate name for each platform
flutter pub run rename_app:main android="Android Name" ios="IOS Name" web="Web Name" mac="Mac Name" windows="Windows Name"
