GTA 3 Bug makes game lighting change when aiming with a sniper rifle and shooting with another weapon

When aiming with the sniper rifle and shooting with another weapon, the game's lighting changes. When you aim with the sniper rifle again, the game's lighting returns to normal, but if you shoot again with another weapon, the lighting changes again. This is only happening with Widescreen Fix installed, so I believe it is a bug. Does anyone know any solution for this? Here is a video demonstrating this problem:

Update: I removed the mods from the modloader folder and this bug did not occur. However, I put the same mods in the modloader folder again and the bug didn't occur either (?). Does anyone know what causes this bug to occur?
