NFS: Undercover Generic Fix does not work on 1.0.1.18 Retail or 1.1.2.1 Origin

The title says it all, on 1.0.1.18 Retail or 1.1.2.1 Origin the Generic Fix just causes the game to immediately crash when launched with no errors. It doesn't even try to load. It may not work on other patches either since the fix was made for 1.0.0.1, but I have not tested this since the two patches mentioned here are the latest ones available.
