SolidWorks file of the SO-100 robot

Hi all, I was planning on testing out some of the mates of the SO-100 arm and was wondering if anyone would know how I can access them in SolidWorks or have the native SolidWorks files (SLDPRT or SLDASM files) since the STEP files don't have the mates.

I don't think this was made in Solidworks originally.

Have you tried importing the fully assembled STEP file? That should have all the parts arranged in relation to each other. From there, redefining the mates should be quick to do.

As per issue #11 the project was made in SolidWorks. It was once available in the repo and was removed sometime last year.

It would be great if those files can be re-uploaded back to the repo. I would like to change some of the rounded edges (fillets) to chamfers which would help to avoid using supports while 3D printing.

You might be able to do this by importing STEP files, use the Delete Face tool and then patch and chamfer the geometry. It's been a while since I've used Solidworks for anything substantial, so I can't give exact instructions on how to do this.

This might help, though.
