PSU clarity.

Open mikegc-aws opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Could we add a little more info on the PSU. The listed units in the BOM are 5v4a (right?). The controller board asks for 9-12v. Can anyone with deeper knowledge than me help to clarify the specs of the PSU needed, and maybe why that is the case. E.g. If I have a 12v2a PSU is that okay?

I will continue to research too.

I see the notes at the end of the BOM but this is not quite enough to answer this question.

Thanks

Same here. I've opted for the 12V servos and honestly I'd like to go up to a 12V PSU with more than 5A but the controllers are DC5521 and every 12V 8A PSU uses DC5525 connectors. Wondering if there is an equivalent servo board for controlling 6+ STS3215 12V servos (there's a 7 DOF SO-ARM100 in the URDFs).
