I added a Spotify album from location. When I try to play a song I get this error dialog: https://i.imgur.com/bM8RGVg.png

Same error with client opened or closed.

Do you have spotify premium. Just to make sure. Since I got the same error dialog even though I have premium account. But mine fixed with closing the app. Not sure about the one you faced with.

Can you check fb2k console to see if there are any additional foo_spotify logs?
