Colour Picker not opening
Describe the Problem I recently Updated vom 1.1.2 to 3.1.2 and after that the Color Picker stopped working. I can click the button once, after that it doesnt even react to the click anymore. It only works now if I start it with administrator rights.
Desktop (please complete the following information):
OS: Windows 10 Enterprise
Version: 1909 OS build 17763.1577
Clients are managed by AD/GPO
To Reproduce As User: Click on the button: Nothing happens As Admin Click on button: Colour circle opens and I can pick colours
Is there anything known that could block the Colour Picker?
~Fabian
Hi, I found the problem. We block everything apart from the default programm paths and the color picker is creating an exe file under %appdata%\local\temp. Since that exe isnt signed, we cant create a rule to allow it. Do you have an idea how we could solve this, since allowing everything from that path isnt an option?
~Fabian
Maybe I can try to sign the picker .exe?
Could you try the old standalone unsigned version: https://github.com/ThePacielloGroup/CCAe/releases/download/v3.1.2/CCA-Portable-3.1.2.exe
Then this version where I signed the internal picker: https://send.tresorit.com/a#Cq7x0tim1nG14ShWkQ3foQ And see if it makes any difference
Hey, sorry for the late answer. If the picker .exe would be signed, then yes I could add it to the Group Policy Exceptions. Sadly GPO-Editor doesnt like your signature. The Portable Version I can only "use" if I export the folder it extracts to %appdata%\local\temp. Just to see if it works, I also tried to add the signature from the "normal" download, but the GPO-Editor also doesnt accept it.
