Im nto sure this is the proper 'fix' but the proposed changes have restored functionality for me on 2023.4.1

I haven't actually used this myself in quite a while (I stopped using Spotify long ago so I no longer have anything that exposes album art in my Home Assistant install) so I'll have to trust you on this. I just don't like commented out code. Either it's important code (and should not be commented) or it's useless code (and should be removed) :)

Maybe it's even better if someone else just becomes the new owner of this repository, but for now, if two people say this works I'll merge this after the commented out line gets removed properly.

Just tested your commit file by installing manually in my HA 2023.4.4 and it restores the functionnality for me. No more error in browser console and the background is correctly displayed.

I tried your commits / fixes using the latest Homeassistant Version it won't work anymore. Could you look into it?
