Can't launch TextGrab
Windows 10 NET 6.0.23 installed All elevations (smartscreen) are accepted When we click on TextGrab.exe nothing is displayed but the program is in the task manager.
2 computers / 6 tests meet this trouble.
What's up doc ?
Do you see the Text Grab icon in the system tray? Also what happens when you kill Text Grab from the Task Manager and launch the EXE again?
Good morning, There is no icon in the taskbar, even on PCs where the application works. Killing the stain has no effect. We even emptied the Windows registry of all TextGrab information, when we restart TextGrab the smartscreen activates, we authorize and no activity again. If we launch TextGrab several times, there are several processes activated THANKS
Both versions have the same result (networkframework 6 and 7 are updated)
I wonder if having both .NET 6 and .NET 7 would have some conflict. That is very odd though because I have several different versions on my device.

I'm getting this issue with both the non self-contained and self-contained variants.
With the self-contained exe (v4.4.1). TextGrab appears in Task Manager but not in System Tray.
With the non self-contained exe, I am directed to download the latest runtime which is v8.0.4. After installation of runtime and upon running TextGrab, it does NOT appear in Task Manager and icon does not appear in System Tray.
Basically, I can't run TextGrab at all.
Check Event Viewer and see what is happening that prevents it from launching

The same thing is happening for me for both packages. (Windows 11 x64) The program creates many entries in the task manager whenever I click on the executable, but it is not showing anywhere. No warnings or errors in the event manager.
Any solution?
I installed version 4.4.0 and it works for me now.

Yes, it worked for me. Now I can see the program is also running in the background with the taskbar icon active.

it works for me if I pin it to my task bar for some reason. thank you

Yes, it works fine for me now, directly downloaded from the releases section.

@TheJoeFin The problem is still there; first, I downloaded the released executable, opened it, and ran fine.

I restarted my computer and am in the same situation again. It only shows in the task manager, but no GUI or taskbar icon exists.
Please recheck this.

I have tried the recent update, and for now, it's working fine. I hope so for the future too.
