Dashboard throws an error as soon as we add the extension

Hi, we've been successfully using this extension for a few years and love it! Recently we tried adding it to a new dashboard and as soon as we selected the extension from the Tableau Repository, Tableau threw error code 12FB738F.

We can't proceed to configuring the extension as a result of this error so we're unable to have the extension on the dashboard. After some trial and error to diagnose why we are getting the error, we think it is because in our data we have combined fields made from two date fields (to result in a string field of 1/1/21 - 12/31/21, for example). The combo is made using Tableau's native combination ability, not by concatenating the fields using a calculation.

We've taken this issue to Tableau Support, but they will not assist and push responsibility back to the extension developers since it is not a Tableau product causing the error. Curiously, we get the exact same error from two other extensions we've tried from two different developers, but do not get the error from any of the three Tableau-developed extensions we tried.

Our current workaround is to put the extension on a separate dashboard and direct users there to get to the download but that is not optimal. Is anyone else experiencing this? Can it be fixed? Thanks for any assistance!
