SteamVR works just fine on linux, so why not just implement it into KerbalVR. As far as I know you can just include linux OpenVR binaries ( https://github.com/ValveSoftware/openvr/tree/master/bin/linux64 )
Possible fix: Check if vehicle path exists
Mods that are installed into /vehicles/ directory, instead of /mods/ directory, are not being disabled. Easy fix: Create vehicle whitelist, and disable vehicles that are not included into it
