How can I use this without getting banned by Nintendo?

Hi. I ordered an unpatched Nintendo Switch that hasn't arrived yet. I want to TAS with SwiTAS, but apparently if you go online with custom firmware you will likely be banned by Nintendo. Can I use SwiTAS without connecting to the Internet? I've tried to connect to my PC's hotspot with the Switch, but the connection doesn't finalize because I disabled the Internet.

I use Custom Firmware and have used macros online and have not gotten banned. However, don't take my experience as solid fact.

Regardless, you can't use SwiTAS on anything close to the latest firmware version regardless, so good luck going online with it.

I'm not trying to go online with it. I am trying to find out if I can use SwiTAS offline. I don't want to risk a ban.

SwiTAS and any similar TASing program (this one is dead, don't use this one lol) are completely safe to go online and offline with. I've been online with cfw for 2 years and have been actively developing while online and have been entirely safe

Thanks. Do you block Nintendo's servers on your Switch? Or is it completely safe to TAS without blocking Nintendo's servers?

What TASing program do you recommend? I see there's something called tas-script but I am unsure how it works.

No tas program currently works on Homebrew. Tas script is the closest to being supported, but it needs a system update. The TAS scene has mostly moved on to yuzu

As for servers, I'd call it safe as long as its not a multiplayer match
