No notification badge/counter on google chat

Steps to reproduce

1. create a google chat tab by using the hangout template, or by using the custom url
2. enable Display tab unread counter and Include in global unread counter
3. get a private message or a message in a space
4. you get a popup notification, but the tab don't show any notification badge or count

Expected behavior

I expect to get a notification count for direct message/mention, and a badge for general unread like i do on all other chat (discord and rocketchat come to mind)

It look like the official electron wrapper support it ? but being google, it could be a different notification system just for the sake of it ?

Actual behavior

the tab doesn't react to any kind of notification

Does this happen upstream: yes, no, unknown, or N/A Unknown, i though upsteam was dead

I can confirm that. Though it works on a discontinued Rambox community-edition. Perhaps script from services.json could fix that.
