Focus Combination Bug - Plan + Light

Issue: Plan and Light appear to be a valid combination in the focal manipulator to the point of allowing the process to start. Once one starts the focus process, it stalls even with enough exp and aura.

Suggested Fix: remove light as a valid option if plan is selected

Advanced Fix: Cause all entities in selected area to have glowing effect

Urgency:

• Not world breaking
• able to stop process by breaking focal manipulator
• unlikely to be encountered through normal course of play
• Can probably wait for code patch so long as documentation and work around available

I just tried this and I could not reproduce the issue - the focus was created as normal, and casting it also works. Did the vis counter get stuck at 0? There is a longstanding elusive bug with the focal manipulator where it sometimes gets stuck at 0 vis and creates a completely black, broken focus.

just saw this.

reviewed and recreated, it looks like it gets stuck at 199 verified enough aura verified in normal mode remove focus and manipulator still shows like it's trying to create focus break and replace retry with focus_2 ()->plan (surface)->light(15) going to clear logs and retry once more after reboot to ensure nothing but the one world is loaded. [edit] I noticed an interesting behaviour. it seems to decrease by 4-6 on exiting and reloading the world I tried removing the tc6 patcher and tc6 enhanced I had a beacon nearby that I removed in case that was an issue even with removing mods, manipulator didn't resume consumption of aura naturally

• even after complete computer restart to ensure local servers weren't still running I did eventually get the black broken focus as described I cannot reproduce with any other focus combination I've tried so far.

okay, on the aura not flowing, I found the issue there, I forgot I had daylight cycle off for a theme build I was working on and with daylight cycle on, the light planning focus works, and foci form normally instead of the black broken focus.

I'm hoping for all this it helps with the elusive black broken focus bug, maybe that one will turn out to be something related to aura/vis interrupted?

Since this seems related to a previously known issue with foci not completing, should this be closed, or does it help to hold it open?

You can keep it open, I'm planning on addressing some of these long-standing issues with something in the near-ish future.
