Release stable

The terms "stable", "beta", "alpha" etc. are just names. Trust me when I tell you that the latest alpha is good for daily use at this point.

Linux distributions tend to only package "stable" releases.

To avoid user frustration, maybe it would be a good idea to release it as "stable" then?

Either this, or please add a note in the readme that the alpha version is considered stable.

I agree on this. We don't need so many alpha/betas. A stable version should be released. Please tag one as stable.

And also consider the idea of getting back PPAs for latest Debian based distros.
