Feature description

I would like to install the app at a user level instead of having the app in my entire system for permission management. As AppImage doesn't need system permissions to run

Proposed solution

Shipping a flatpak version of the app

Alternative solutions you considered

Installing the binaries in the $USER/.local folder

Additional context

Already asked in #396 but the permission level reason hasn't been brought up

I do not intend to ever use this kind of packaging. In case anyone volunteers to provide this, feel free to comment on this issue.

+1 or in the Ubuntu repo or Snap, but Flatpak best bc it is distributed and open. Question: is it not possible for Flathub to automatically add it using the Repo provided here? I wondered the same for Signal today
