Cannot reinstall

Pre-submit checks

  • [X] I checked for similar issues beforehand, but could not find any, not even closed ones. I could not add my bug report to any existing issue.
  • [X] I am going to take the time to to fill in all the required details. I know that the bug report will be dismissed otherwise.

Describe the bug

While attempting to reinstall AppImageLauncher Lite (e.g., "./$appimagelauncher-installer.AppImage install", I receive a message that it is already installed and to uninstall first.

When I previously attempted to uninstall Lite, the uninstall was interrupted. The issue seems to be that the service file has been removed, but the remainder of the application has not. Because I cannot install, I cannot replace the service file as a step to attempt to get the installation working again (I was going to manually replace it, but I do not know the preferred path for the template service file in the repository).

As a result, I can neither install nor remove the Lite AppImage.

Expected behavior

I expect EITHER the uninstall directive to skip steps already completed and proceed with the application removal OR that the install directive include a "force" or "fix" option if the installer detects an installation.
