Reported by batchelorc on 2009-07-30 13:59 UTC Just to check whether this is OK: (1) polyA_sequence is_a mRNA_region (2) oligo_U_tail is_a guide_RNA_region

best wishes, Colin.

Hi Colin Hi Colin Right, these sequences are not really genomic seq unless they have somehow sneaked back as part of a pseudogene or something. This is why I want to be able to have other topological and time relationships so we can describe the sequence of something that gets bits added to it as it matures. So I'm not sure where these two things belong at the moment. What were you thinking? --K

OK, good, so is it the case that when there is an SO annotation of these, it really means a "fossilized" polyadenylylylyl sequence or oligouridine tail? Equally, what is the story with "cap"? Best wishes, Colin

Do you think we should have a parent to these terms called post translational region?

Resulting only from a post-translational modification? Yes. Colin.
