some instances are unconnected to VDD

Describe the bug

I'm trying to run IR drop analysis. The run fails during execution of the final_report.tcl script with the following warnings/errors:

... [WARNING PSM-0039] Unconnected instance FILLER_349_16/VDD at location (3.486um, 203.328um). [WARNING PSM-0039] message limit (1000) reached. This message will no longer print. [ERROR PSM-0069] Check connectivity failed on VDD. [ERROR GUI-0070] PSM-0069

In the VDD.rpt output I see cells that generate the PSM-0039 warning which are adjacent (in some cases adjacent rows, in other cases adjacent within the same row) to cells which do not appear in the VDD.rpt output. As an example, in the attached screenshot I've highlighted cell FILLER_40_396. It shows up in the VDD.rpt output in the xterm on the right. But FILLER_41_396 directly above it does not appear in VDD.rpt.

I should add that if I select FILLER_40_396, then select the VDD pin and then the VDD net (both via the Inspector pane) then it indicates it's connected to the VDD net (please see the second screenshot in which the VDD network is highlighted in red).

Lastly, the problem doesn't just occur with filler cells. Some of the alleged violators are ordinary Boolean logic cells.

Expected Behavior

Trying to get a clean VDD/VSS connectivity check so IR drop analysis can proceed.

It will be hard to say much from just this data. I would guess you have a disconnected power grid in some fashion. Have you run check_power_grid?
