No I don’t use Parallels, but I wanted to know about Sony Vegas Pro before making a purchase of parallels full version.

Ah, I see.
We'll leave this issue open for now until we can get a video or screenshot of it working or not.
I mean it's your choice to use Vegas through Crossover or Parallels but really? If you're on macOS, just choose a different video editor, no? Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve, Apple Final Cut Pro, Adobe Premiere, Wondershare Filmora etc.
Some people will switch to a new editing software but the rest will come here.
