Wanting to Update the Project for FM 2019

Like the title says. I know you probably get a lot of messages asking when or if this project is going to be updated. I am not a sophisticated programmer by any means but I have spent a couple of days going through the repository and I want to know how this framework works so I can help with bringing this project back to life. Hope someone sees this. Also, if someone could provide a basic understanding on how to read the .fm game file that would be appreciated.
