incompatible with Iris & sodium

Open Ladibo opened this issue 1 month ago • 1 comments

When the mod menu is installed correctly but launching on the Iris & sodium loader instead of fabric, it simply act is it is nonexistent.

When launching with fabric-loader it works fine but does remove the ability to select shaders. (the button is completely gone)

This could be a problem on the side of Iris & Sodium but that loader is build as an extender for fabric loader and is for the most part fully compatible with all other mods and packs I've found specifically for fabric. Iris & Sodium is leaning towards being a better and more stable alternative to fabric.

Thank you, low prio / specific prio

When Iris is installed as an 'Iris only' profile in the Iris installer (rather than 'Iris + Fabric') it puts the mods folder in a different place (to my memory, .minecraft/iris-reserved/<version number>), so if you're putting other fabric mods (like modmenu) into your regular mods folder, those mods won't be loaded.

As far as I know, that's the only difference when you select 'Iris only' in the Iris installer - it's still regular fabric loader, it's just been told to look in a different place for the mods. If you want to add other mods, you're meant to select 'Iris + Fabric' and put your other mods into the mods folder.
