Related problem

Crafting a high-tier GT tool or TFC armor/weapon needs a lot of time and materials, and when it wears out we can only craft another one, which is too expensive. In addition, as in 0.7.19 version, enchantment table can be crafted and used, therefore enchanted items can be obtained, which might improve our QoL (faster mining speed, longer durability, higher DPS, etc.). However, since vanilla anvil is banned, and no villager sells mending enchantment, any enchanted items cannot be repaired with their enchantments reserved.

Your solution

1. Add an approach for gaining mending enchantment on GT tools and TFC armors/weapons, or
2. Add a craftable repair kit that can make tools, armors and weapons recover some durability when used.

They're not that expensive, and in fact they're cheaper than vanilla, with most tools only being one or two ingots, and by the time you wear one out, there's a better tool available anyway. GT electric tools can be repaired by giving them a new head I think? And by the time you wear out an armor, there's a new tier available anyway. I do want to eventually make anvil recipes/extruder molds for some of the other GT tools like the wrench, which would also make them cheaper in the process.

I'm not totally against the idea of a repair kit item though.

As for enchants, definitely not, I'd like to keep TFG strictly no-magic themed (and silk touch would actually enable a few exploits...), but there's other things that provide a similar effect! TFC's forging bonuses provide a mix of unbreaking, efficiency, and sharpness, while GT's electric tools have something silly like unbreaking 9 while charged.
