[🪡]: Buff framepack

Was this enhancement asked before?

  • [x] No, it was not.

What would you like to be added?

The framepack ends up in an awkward spot where it’s generally less useful than both the ore sack and the sophisticated backpack. I think most players will skip it entirely and go straight for the backpack.

In practice, the framepack’s ability to ignore stack limits doesn’t offer much benefit. The only items where this really helps are rocks (later turned into gravel) and wood. But even then, the framepack doesn’t outperform the ore sack for rocks: both effectively hold the same amount (ore sack: 9×512 = 4,608; framepack: 18*64×4 = 4,608), and the ore sack is cheaper. For logs, the framepack’s advantage is modest (1,152 capacity versus the backpack’s 576, and the backpack can be upgraded even further down the line.)

Why is this needed?

Slightly buff the framepack to either increase the storage, or increase the stack limit.

Could also consider framepack as the prerequisite to crafting the backpack (push back backpack to later stages)

If anything I think we should just remove it entirely

That is also another option lol. But ya framepack is in a weird spot, unless we make the framepack even cheaper or unlockable in earlier stages

Yeah I just think any niche it could fill is already achieved through a sack or a soph backpack

@BlueBoat29 what do you think?

add a extra row of slots and i think it would be in a decent spot
