Clippings not saving - or am I doing it wrong?

As the instructions say, hit capital "S" and there will be a clippings file saved to the desktop. This isn't working. Using DRM free app on OS Big Sur 11.5.2 (20G95). Am I doing it wrong? I've searched for 'clipping' or 'snippet' on my computer and find nothing.
