[DF] Faction icons incorrect in battlegrounds when placed on the other faction side

Very long-standing bug. The option to show faction icons doesn't work correctly in battlegrounds that can place you on the other side (such as getting the mercenary buff, rated battlegrounds, or battleground blitz). When this happens, all players receive the icon of your opposite faction, both your team and the enemy team.

Example below is for my horde character when I get placed on alliance side, all players have the alliance icon.

Apologies, if I'm understanding the issue correctly, you are joining a bg on a team that does not match which faction you actually are and all players show the same faction icon regardless of team?

That's about right.

There are only 3 ways for joining a battleground in the opposite faction's side.

• Having the mercenary buff (only available to the most populated faction, currently alliance)
• Rated battlegrounds
• Battleground blitz

I've personally seen over the years that the issue happens in scenario 2 and 3. It probably also happens in 1 but I can't explicitly recall. I only play Horde characters so I don't know if this also happens for Alliance players joining a match on Horde side.
