Glass Break Detector / Broken Window
Before submitting a new icon request, please confirm the following:
- [X] I have searched all issues to make sure there isn't a request for this icon.
- [X] I have searched the current library to make sure the icon doesn't already exist.
- [X] I understand that brand icons are no longer being added and I can use SimpleIcons for my brand icon needs.
- [X] I only intend to request a single icon (or a few near-identical ones) in this issue.
What would you use this icon for?
One of the more common binary sensors for security systems is a glass break sensor. I would argue they are more popular than a vibration sensor, which an icon already exists for.
Give us an example of what this icon might look like.
Added window-closed-broken
or does it need to be something more specific? @ndoggac
Added
window-closed-broken
or does it need to be something more specific? @Templarian
Thanks! That works if the icon ends up looking like examples 1-3. If it looks like 4-6 though, it could mimic the existng motion-sensor, with something like glassbreak-sensor & glassbreak-sensor-off.
@ndoggac Quick idea with the double paned window below, but we may want a more general glass
icon with some variations. Similar to the front of stove
the lines to signify the shine of glass. 🤔
The icon below might be too busy.
@Templarian Well, I already like yours better than any of the examples I linked, so you're definitely on the right track. :-)
One of my initial thoughts when first searching for examples was something like glass-fragile
. However, that didn't tie in the window aspect, which is primarily what these security sensors are for.
Wondering if we should remove the closed
from the name as well?
My personal opinion, I don't think this is too busy. Not sure if stove like lines would change that though.
