Telegram Messenger v8.8 crashes on iPad4 running iOS 10.3.3

Description

Since upgrading to v8.8, app gives blank screen, then crashes back to OS every time, even after hard reboot of device.

Expected Behavior

The app should open

Actual Behavior

A blank screen is displayed for a few seconds, then the iOS desktop is displayed. The app appears to be open, when scrolling through open apps, but again gives a blank screen and returns to the iOS desktop, when the app is selected.

Steps to Reproduce

1. install v8.8 on iOS 10.3.3 (latest build for iPad4)
2. attempt to open app
3. witness fault as described, above
