Proxy is blocked by standard corporate DPI firewalls

MTProxy is being blocked by standard corporate DPI firewalls. This makes it useless precisely for the places where you'd want to use it.

I followed the guide here in GitHub to install an MTProxy. Is there anything else I can do to make it work through a corporate firewall? I tried setting 'dd' in front of the secret too - no difference.

The Signal Proxy works fine in corporate networks (and Iran etc), why can't the Telegram team make something more robust?

  1. What makes you think that MTProto-Proxy was made to bypass company / enterprise firewalls? It was made to bypass limitations in countries blocking free speech.
  2. What makes you think that MTProto-Proxy should work just because a Signal Proxy works?
  3. Are you even allowed to run any proxy within your organisations network?

If your answer to 3. is "yes", why don't you contact your network and firewall admins and ask them to allow MTProto-Proxy traffic to pass?

Exactly. That's why it shouldn't be possible to block it using DPI.

Because this project is abandoned, unfortunately. It was possible to bypass DPI with this tech 5 years ago but not today.
