Cube issue: not sensitive enough for slide movement

I have installed the cube on a garage door to detect tilt angle (90 degrees when opened / Sliding up towards the roof ). The garage door movement is smooth and hence defined as sliding movement in the Cube.

I am experiencing a issue where the cube/Homey is not able to detect any movement when it’s sliding. I have only been able to observe the homey registered one single sliding movement with a 90 deg turn out of 50 tries.

Is this an hardware or software issue ?
