Channel Search

Please add a search on the channel page to search for video only from that channel.

This is something I second.

Just found out about piped. Being a indivious user for a long time the only feature I honestly miss and ever having to go through awful youtube is to search for videos in big channels.

Not sure if that's a challenging to implement feature but honestly searching for content on the platform ranks first in terms of making it usable thus searching in a channel is akin to the main search which is unarguably the most important process after viewing a video, which in itself facilitates. Long story short, please consider prioritizing implementation of this feature.

Edit: Just found out this in case anyone is interested.

Piped uses the NewPipeExtractor which doesn't provide such a feature.

By default, when opening a channel, only the 20 latest videos by the creator get returned. A channel-internal search would require to have data of all the videos of the content creator, searching inside the latest 20 probably doesn't make sense, otherwise each page containing 20 videos would have to be fetched manually (which is a bad idea).

I don't believe there's any good way to add your suggestion without being able to do so with the NewPipeExtractor.

I believe you can achieve it via protobuf, not sure tho, will have to check Invidious's source code.

I see. Although it's important, but looks like NewPipeExtractor didn't do such thing for some reason. All I do when I search inside a channel is to type the search term in the main search bar and add the channel name, like this: [SearchTerm channel:ABC] or directly [SearchTerm ABC].
