Describe the feature

Currently, it is not clear where data such as subscriptions, preferences or playlists are stored when logged in (or even when logged out); client or server. This should be documented and also communicated transparently to the user.
Ideally, you'd have a preference to control these.

Why would this be useful to add?

As a user, I want to know whether the server stores certain kinds of info for privacy and data security reasons; knowing which data is exposed to the hoster and which data needs to be backed up from the client.
