Feature description

Ability to adjust the timing offset for an external text-based subtitle.

Why do you want this feature?

Sometimes subtitles go out of sync check #9208

Don't just assume the problem exists before investigating it thoroughly.

Well since the problem still exists with YouTube so I believe it will be a nice addition which will enhance user experience.

Could you please reopen this issue? So that others may also get an opportunity to comment what they think of it? 😥
